Information for Patients Regarding the Coronavirus Infection
If you have either a fever or a new onset persistent cough then please check 111.nhs.uk online or call NHS 111 for further advice. Both our surgeries at Totton Health Centre and Forest Gate are open, however the doors are locked. This is to protect both patients and staff. If, after speaking to us on the phone you are asked to attend for an appointment, please ring the door bell when you arrive. Also, please take careful note of the site you have been asked to attend.
Unfortunately, we are not able to give specific advice as to whether individuals should attend their workplace. Please follow published Government guidance at the www.gov.uk website; following the coronavirus banner at the top of the page and then discuss arrangements directly with your employer.

How does the service work?
Our chronic disease clinics run all year round. If you suffer from a chronic disease, you will usually be invited to one of our clinics via a reminder letter for an annual review and blood test. We hold clinics for:
Our practice is approved to train fully qualified doctors who wish to specialise in general practice. Our GP registrar will have had 2-4 years of experience as a qualified hospital doctor working in various specialities. They consult patients on their own, under the mentorship of our trainer, Dr xxxxx. Occasionally we ask permission to video a consultation. You will always be asked in advance and are given the option not to take part, and this will not affect your care in any way. No recording will be taken without your consent and the camera will be switched off on request. These videos are used only for educational purposes with the doctor doing the consultation and are destroyed after use.
We’re always on the lookout for more talented people to join us. We are a happy, highly motivated and forward-thinking practitioners with our practice premises team.
New Horizon Accepts Major Medical Insurance and Medicare
New Horizon Medical accepts most major medical insurances including Medicare for its weight loss services. Patients use their insurance and are responsible only for their co-pay. There are no contracts to sign. Referrals may be required from primary care doctors depending on the type of medical insurance the patient has. Please call us with any questions you may have about your medical coverage.
New Horizon is building relationships with companies that are searching for wellness partners. Our programs are no cost to the employer unless the employer is willing to participate by reimbursing employees for some of their co-pay, a choice completely up to the employer. For complete details on New Horizon Partnership Programs, please contact us to set up a meeting and review options.
